Baked French Toast

1 loaf French bread (cut into 1" cubes)
8 eggs
3 c. milk
2 T. sugar
1 t. vanilla
Dash of salt

Directions (1):
Place bread in well-buttered 9″ x 13″ cake pan. Mix eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, and salt in blender. Pour over bread, cover, and refrigerate overnight. Take out of fridge half hour before baking.
 

¼  c. cold butter
1 T. cinnamon
¼  c. sugar

Directions (2):
Mix cinnamon and sugar. Dot bread mixture with pieces of cold butter. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar over top. Cover with foil. 
Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.
Let stand for about 5 minutes before cutting or will appear uncooked. Serve with syrup, powdered sugar, or jam.
