2 egg whites
1½ c. sugar
1 t. vanilla
¼ t. Watkins Cream of Tartar
1 T. white corn syrup
4 T. cold water
few grains salt
Directions:
Beat egg whites, salt, sugar, corn syrup, water and cream of tartar in the top of double boiler. Place over boiling water. Beat until mixture well, till it stand in peaks. Remove from heat and cool, add vanilla and beat until cold. Then spread on cake.
